In the 19th century,on the gloomy moors of Yorkshire,England, an abandoned gypsy boy called Heathcliff was brought to Whuthering Heights by Mr Earnshaw,the master of the Heights.Earnshaw's daughter Catherine was very fond of him.But even love could not help Cathy resist her desire of living a rich and comfortable life,which could only be offered by their neighbor,Edgar Lindon.After finding out this by accident,Heathcliff left with out a word.Cathy married Lindon in bitter sorrows.
Several years later, Heathcliff came back and bought Whuthering Heights.Isabella, Lindon's sister fell in love with him. However,soon after their marriage, Heathcliff's cruelty and unfeeling withered Isabella.At the same time, Cathy was going to die in sadness. Heathcliff came to her before her death.They looked throuth the window and found the rock that once played the role of their castle in their childhood. Cathy said that she was waiting for their unite and final rest.
Keep missing Cathy and death, Heathcliff suffered for the following 20 years,which nearly drove him mad.He cast nothing but extreme scorn and cruel torment on everyone around him, until on a snowy night, Cathy's ghost called him to their favourate part on the moors, and they finally gathered in death again…
