* and Macao are parts of China in history， but they were separated from the motherland for some political reasons. China has been getting richer and stronger since its opening to the outside world. On July 1， 1997， * finally returned home. On December 20， 1999， Macao returned home， too. Great changes have taken place in both * and Macao. It shows the development and great strength of our country.
